Musaios: Download Concordance Plug-Ins

Musaios Concordance Plug-Ins are supplemental modules that allow Musaios to rapidly calculate a keyword-in-context concordance presentation of TLG-E and PHI 5.3 texts. They are not themselves concordances, as they contain no text. They can only be used if the corresponding TLG-E or PHI 5.3 files are present on your system. The plug-ins install via a setup program onto your hard drive in the same directory as the Musaios executable, normally C:\MUSAIOS. They generally occupy somewhat less space on your hard drive than the text that they are based on, for instance the plug-in for Cicero, who wrote 8.323 MB of text, occupies 6.00 MB

Once installed, you can switch back and forth between text-browsing and concordance modes, either automatically repositioning the text to match the concordance, or going back to the text where you were before, without repositioning. You can preview the concordance features without downloading by looking at [Longinus] Rhet. or Tibullus using Musaios 2002 A (or later) -- they are included with all Musaios 2002 installations.

At this time, modules are available on a Universal Package CD-ROM for ALL Greek authors on TLG-E and ALL Latin authors on PHI 5.3. A full Latin Word Index is also included. Additionally, modules are available for download for for nearly all the authors on typical PhD. reading lists at U.S. Universities. Also included are Greek, Latin, and English Bible versions. You may download and install them from this page by clicking on the links below. The list below is roughly chronological, with modules for TLG-E texts followed by those for PHI 5.3.

Notes -- Until you have registered a plug-in, you will only be able to view the first ten percent of the entries for each author included. To uninstall, use the standard Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Software method of Windows. Downloading this program indicates that you consent to our License agreement.

When you use the download links below, your browser may give you a choice to "Run this program from its current location" or "Save this program to disk". The first option is preferable; but if you wish to save the setup program to disk, create a new empty directory (or "folder"); save to that temporary folder, and then execute SETUP.EXE in the folder. You may then delete the temporary folder and its contents.

During execution of the setup, you will be prompted for the location to install the plug-in. This should be the same folder where Musaios 2002 is installed, by default C:\MUSAIOS. If you are not sure, the location is displayed in the "About" screen available from the Help menu of Musaios 2002.
